Short attempt at an all too obvious plot

Let him go

"He's too old. Can't you see he's ill? Why cling on to him?! Let him go."

Why not, she always countered back. To a bunch of unsympathic faces. Or rather, a bunch of she'll-come-around-one-day faces.

They didn't understand. He was special. She couldn't imagine a day without him.

How can you just let someone who's been so much a part of your life for the past 7 years go?!

She held on to him, feeling his warmth, his breathing, his love.

But in the end, they were right.

She could not bear to see him in pain anymore and so consented.

Bingo the dog was finally put to sleep.

Short 1-minute story

A and B in the office

"Hey, you remember the other time when you said that you never know what another person's thinking?" Colleague A asked Colleague B, one late night at the office.

But before B could answer, A had knocked him out. A held a butcher's knife over B's chest.

"Well, you were dead right. Spot on."
