Among the pretty faces
Among the high and mighty
Amidst the winds that change the world
Who are you
Who are you

What will you do
What will you do
You’ll try and reach the top?
You’ll fight for pride for all you’re worth?
Who are you
Who are you

And when you’ve done all that you can
And when you think you’re through
And when you find you’re not there yet
Who are you
Who are you

Do ends they justify the means?
Do prizes ceaseless effort?
Do other things or people in fact, matter?
Who are you?
I sought the principle of self
Of self of me of I
I sought to only want to make
The self the happy I

But yet the principle of self
Is strangely, by the way,
Of never-ending wants and dreams
Contentment has no sway
